Autumn term 2022

Choir meetings begin again on Monday 5th September when we will be starting work on Brahms Requiem for our concert in March 2023. We would love to see new members joining us – please visit our Join the Choir page for more information.

There are also three events coming up in the autumn as follows:

On Saturday 1st October at 3pm there will be a memorial concert for Bernard Hall-Mancey at Birmingham University’s Elgar Concert Hall. The choir will perform Vaughan Williams ‘Toward the Unknown Region’ with the Orchestra of St John. On Sunday 9th October at 7.30pm there will be a concert of Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ and ‘Four Seasons’ which takes place at Handsworth St Mary. A number of our choir members will be joining with other choirs and the Handsworth St Mary Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets cost £10. Finally, on Saturday 22nd October at 10.30am there will be a Coffee Concert at St Johns Church, Bromsgrove to celebrate 40 years of the twinning of Bromsgrove with the German town of Gronau. Our contribution will include ‘How Lovely are thy Dwellings’ from Brahms Requiem and Handel’s ‘Zadok the Priest’
